April: "United Plant Savers" talk. Herbalist and educator Rosemary Gladstar will talk about the United Plant Savers, a group she helped form that promotes protecting and replanting wild medicinal plants. Sunday, April 27, 2 pm at the Waterbury Municipal Building, 28 Vermont Rt. 100, Waterbury, VT. Talk is free and open to the public.
May: Spring Wildflower Foray, May 17 (rain date May 18), 9:30 am - 12:30 pm, Leicester, VT, Green
Mountain National Forest. Led by retired botanist MaryBeth Deller.
Private garden tours: Montpelier featuring primroses, Burlington featuring trilliums, Hinesburg featuring rhododendrons, azaleas and mountain laurels, and in Randolph for Spring bulbs.
June: Workshop: Hypertufa Pots for Alpines. June 21, 2 pm at Great Brook Nursery, Plainfield, VT.
Led by Nursery owner Ian Maas on propagating and growing alpines and how to make a hypertufa planter.
July: Guided garden tour at the von Trapp garden in Waitsfield, VT. Saturday, July 26, 10 am to 1 pm.
August: Annual Plant and Book Sale at Full Circle Gardens, Essex, VT. Saturday, August 17, 4 - 7 pm.
